We read your homepage and a sample of category pages to identify which archive patterns your theme and filter plugins generate. Every store does this differently, so the audit works out yours rather than assuming.
Counts by pattern, not by crawl
A scan that reports tens of thousands of URLs makes a handful of requests. We count combinations mathematically instead of visiting them — faster for you, and far gentler on your store.

Connect Search Console and we read aggregate visibility data: how many archive URLs of each type Google is already surfacing against how many your sitemap declares.

Do I need to connect Google Search Console?
The audit runs a structural crawl without it, but connecting Search Console adds visibility data showing what Google has already surfaced. Without it the damage score stays provisional.
