WooScrub monitoring

The fix protects your store. Monitoring protects the fix.

Your WooCommerce fix handles new thin URLs automatically — the moment they're created. Monitoring watches to make sure that protection stays intact, because one silent change to your theme, server or plugin stack can undo everything without warning.

The fix is future-proof (but not indestructible)

Your fix already handles new URLs. Here's what it can't handle alone.

When we implement your fix, it covers everything automatically — new filter combinations, new tag archives, new brand pages, new parameter URLs. The moment WooCommerce generates them, they are already noindexed, canonicalled and blocked from Google's crawl. You do not need to do anything.

But the fix lives somewhere in your store's technical stack — a functions file, a server configuration, or a dedicated plugin, depending on what was safest for your specific setup. That is deliberate. And it means one thing: if something changes that layer, the protection can silently disappear.

What can break a fix

Repaired free
  • A WordPress core update that conflicts with the implementation
  • A filter, brand or tag plugin update that overrides the URL structure
Quoted after re-review
  • Switching to a new theme without preserving the fix code
  • A hosting or server migration that resets configuration files
  • A developer making changes without knowing the fix exists

None of these announce themselves. Your rankings just start dropping — and by the time you notice, Google has already re-crawled thousands of thin URLs.

See how the fix is built

Fix broken after theme change

Thin URLs returning to Google.

Google Search Console — indexed pages 18,672
  • Thousands of thin pages indexed
  • Crawl budget wasted
  • Important pages losing visibility

How monitoring works

A weekly check that takes seconds to read.

1

Weekly crawl

Every week, WooScrub crawls your store and checks whether the fix is still in place. We verify that noindex directives are firing, canonical tags are pointing correctly, and robots.txt is blocking what it should.

2

Compare against baseline

We compare this week's results against your post-fix baseline — the clean state your store was in immediately after the fix was completed. Any deviation is flagged.

3

Alert or confirm

If something has changed — fix code missing, canonicals broken, robots.txt altered — you get an immediate email alert with exactly what changed and what to check. If everything is clean, you get a monthly report confirming your store is protected.

What you see in your dashboard

Everything visible. Nothing hidden.

Your monitoring dashboard shows you the full picture at a glance:

  • Last crawl date — when we last checked your store
  • Fix status — confirmed intact, or flagged for review
  • Archive count deltas — any change in filter, tag, brand or parameter URL counts since your baseline
  • Alert history — every alert ever sent, with the reason and the date
  • Monthly report — a downloadable summary of every check run that month

If we find a problem, the dashboard shows you exactly what changed. If everything is clean, the dashboard says so — clearly, without noise.

What monitoring is not

Honest about what this covers.

Monitoring does not fix problems — it alerts you to them.

If a theme change breaks your fix, monitoring tells you immediately. Fixing it is a separate conversation — we will help, but it is not automatic.

Monitoring is not a substitute for the initial fix.

If you have not audited and fixed your store yet, monitoring has nothing to protect. Start with the free audit — monitoring makes sense after a fix is in place.

Monitoring does not guarantee rankings.

It guarantees that your fix stays intact. Rankings depend on many factors. We watch what we can control.

If your fix does break

What a repair costs depends on what broke it. We do not quote a repair we have not looked at — the same principle that sets your original price from your audit rather than from a guess.

A WordPress or plugin update defeated the fix

It is built to survive routine maintenance, so this should not happen. If it does, putting it right is ours — you are never charged for keeping your store up to date.

Quoted after re-review

A theme change, migration or developer edit removed it

We re-review your store before quoting. By then it may have generated thousands of new URLs, so the work depends on what we find — and we would rather look than guess.
